If:
If this world, this universe, this existence, this reality is nihilistic, meaningless, valueless, then we are left with a simple thought:
How does one create, craft, and conceive of our own world?
How do we, as a part of a meaningless existence invent (Invent yes, because to place something that does not exist within existence is to invent) meaning and value.
We do this, by instead of finding value and/or meaning in things (As these do not exist if the if is true), we simply place the value on said object in existence. Now consider how easy this is: This object keeps me alive, I thus value it, it has life preserving meaning. I put my work and energy into this object: I thus put value into it and it means what I mean; it contains me in some manner as I mixed my work with the object, intertwining it with my efforts.
If the lack of meaning terrifies you, put meaning into something.
If value has no objective value; are you not just stating that you value the taste of a food while another does not? Would you seriously ever consider that as an objective notion?
If the totality of myself is nothing, I shall work to make it something to me.
Objectively I remain nothing, but alas what is one who acts, pretends, or fakes value? Is there truly any value in that which is objectively valuable? The answer would be a painful yes, but when I, as a judger have no choice in labelling said object as valuable or not, I automatically see no value. Default value blinds our eyes to value. And what, if anything, truly can be said to be objectively valuable?
