In Flames – A Sense of Purpose

Band itself exists quite long- for 20 years. This Sweden guys play melodic death metal(also known as Gothenburg metal) – we can say it´s agressive death with rytmical choruses and sung parts.
Now we can speak about album. A Sense of Purpose is the latest and in my opinion the best. I can´t exactly tell you why I think so but maybe because there are many songs with for me great text and a lot of songs in it have adorable rhytm, melody and things like that. Songs from this album can easily „energize“ me and when I have to calm down, there is no better way as to play In Flames as loud as I can stand.

SlipKnoT – All Hope is Gone

This American (USA-Iowa) band is one of my beloved mainly because they have a lot of things different from the other ones. It´s difficult to say what style they play because from time when they started untill now it has been changing a lot. But generally, we can say it´s nu-metal or alternative metal.
When we are talking about album which I chose – the newest one – All hope is gone is nearly melodeath. I like this album the most again because of great texts and some perfectly melodic and rytmic songs. One of that is a song called Psychosocial which is also my the most favourite song ever.
